On June 4, 2025, the Jiangsu New Materials Industry Association organized a new product appraisal meeting for Jiangsu Peipu Polymer Technology Co., Ltd.'s "Ultra-fine denier fiber grade recycled PET chips within 15D" in Nanjing. The appraisal committee composed of experts from Nanjing University of Science and Technology, Nantong University, Nanjing University and other universities and industries unanimously believed that the product technology has broken through the bottleneck of international physical method regeneration technology, the key indicators are better than industry standards, and the overall technology has reached the international leading level.
(1) Respond to national strategies and overcome “stuck neck” technical problems
This project responds to the call of "focusing on high-end recycled fiber materials research" in China's "14th Five-Year Plan for Circular Economy Development" and is developed in response to the goal of "regenerated fiber accounting for 25% by 2025" proposed in the "Guidance Opinions on Green Development of the Textile Industry". Previously, the traditional physical method used in domestic ultra-fine fiber grade recycled PET chips below 15D had problems such as large viscosity fluctuations and insufficient strength. The new products developed by Peipu Polymer use innovative technologies and equipment such as intelligent optical sorting, ultrasonic cleaning, liquid phase small molecule removal and homogenization, and ultra-fine filtration to achieve large-scale production of ultra-fine denier fiber-grade recycled PET chips within 15D, filling the gap in the domestic market.
(2) Breakthroughs in core technology, leading the world in many indicators
Product innovation is outstanding. The ultra-purification and impurity removal technology reduces the ash content to as low as 0.013%, the agglomerated particles are 0.3/mg, and the powder content is 0; the first liquid-solid two-phase joint homogenization technology and self-developed melting and granulation equipment in an absolute vacuum environment (the only equipment invention patent in the industry: ZL202310462268.6) realize independent control of key manufacturing equipment and ensure that viscosity fluctuations are controlled within ±0.008. After testing by Shanghai Textile Group, the product complies with the FZ/T51013-2016 industry standard. Key indicators such as terminal carboxyl content, ash content, and agglomerated particles are better than the standard requirements. It has excellent spinnability and a component cycle of more than 1 month.
